Liz is an experienced psychotherapist who uses ILF Neurofeedback (ILF NFB) in combination with other evidence based psychotherapeutic modalities to provide each unique individual with their own personalised treatment plan.
She worked in domestic abuse and addiction services before setting up her own private practice 6 years ago, where she specialises in working with people who have witnessed or experienced traumatic events in their lives be this a one-off event or multiple adverse experiences dating from childhood through to adulthood. Liz is a keen proponent of working with the whole person, incorporating connection between body, brain, and mind to ensure an integrative approach to the complex difficulties that people can present with. Her experiences have shown her that no one therapeutic modality will suit everyone, preferring instead to use an eclectic approach that incorporates ILF NFB along with other interventions. People who have worked with Liz have commented on her patience, compassion, and ability to create a safe environment where people feel heard and listened to.
In addition to her psychotherapeutic work, Liz has also developed and delivered stress awareness and resilience workshops for use within organisations, specifically with staff working in front line care settings.
